Exploring the Essence of Water: A Lifelong Connection

Water has always been a central theme in my life and work, inspiring my latest artistic project. Growing up by the sea in Plymouth, Devon, I was drawn to the beauty and power of water from an early age. This fascination led me to scuba diving, first qualifying in Shetland and later becoming an instructor, which took me to incredible places like Sudan and the Red Sea, where Jacques Cousteau filmed many of his iconic underwater documentaries.

Sudan, with its vast deserts and scarce rainfall, taught me just how precious water is. Living in Khartoum, at the meeting point of the Blue and White Nile, I witnessed firsthand how deeply life is intertwined with the availability of fresh water. This project celebrates the philosophy of water—its beauty, power, and irreplaceable role in sustaining life.
